Abstract

These brush-footed butterfly species were collected during a botanical-entomological expedition to Eastern Ruwenzori, the mountainous region between Uganda and, what is now, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Entomologist, Frederick Edwards and botanist, George Taylor (later Director of Kew Gardens) spent seven months in the area, in 1936-1937, collecting flora and insect fauna. Side expeditions were made into surrounding areas to collect comparative samples. Both men were employees of the British Museum and experts in their fields.
