Abstract
The protagonist of Jack McDevitt’s A Talent for War, Alex Benedict, appears stoically ready for his space quest. McDevitt (b. 1935) had his first story published in 1981 and in 2015 he is the recipient of the Robert A. Heinlein Lifetime Achievement Award. The cover artwork for this novel is by Darrell K. Sweet.
