Yes, you are seeing it right, the SF book 1945 was co-written by the former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Newton ‘Newt’ Leroy Gingrich. Before he was a politician, Gingrich was a history scholar and he co-wrote with William R. Forstchen, Professor of History in North Carolina, this ‘alternative ending’ to WWII. The cover artwork for this novel is by Gary Ruddell.
