Abstract

Salive wrote that ‘Heinlein is interesting but seems to like to construct monomaniacal societies which have little relation to the range of abilities and ambitions I see in people.’ He added that Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land was an exception to this. While no copy of the latter is in Salive’s collection, he did own 32 other Heinlein titles.
