Abstract

Led by the Australian, Sir Douglas Mawson, aboard Discovery, BANZARE conducted two trips in the Southern Hemisphere’s summers in two consecutive years. Ostensibly an expedition driven by Antarctic geopolitics, wide-ranging data was gathered on a large number of topics.
