Abstract

Femme d’apoticaire/eine apoteckerin, Artist unknown c.1700. This caricature from 1700 represents pharmacy’s past. Towards the end of the seventeenth century the various professions were sometimes represented allegorically showing characters consisting of, or covered with, instruments of their business.
