Abstract

By April 1938, Astounding Stories had become Astounding Science-Fiction – the fifth of many name variations the magazine has had over the years since its inception in January 1930. Howard V. Brown’s cover is a ‘snapshot’ from Thomas Calvert McClary’s Three Thousand Years, which tells the tale of the Earth reawakening after 3000 years in suspended animation.
